For Jérôme, perfume became an instinctive way to combine his studies in Chemistry with his passion for design. His olfactive education derives from his travels; paddling across Vietnamese rivers, exploring Moroccan souks and drinking incense water in Oman. Along the path, he learnt about rose oils, the heat of spices and the bespoke scent of cedarwood artistry.
Through his passionate reinterpretation of fragrance, Jérôme is also changing a way of thinking. Suede Orris Eau de Toilette and Suede Orris Eau de Parfum was inspired by Catherine de Medici, a Florentine noblewoman who trail-blazed the fashion of wearing scented leather gloves: “It challenges the idea that orris is old-fashioned. I wanted it to be powdery, yet modern.”
